10
Are you thinking about walking the Camino?
For thousands of years people of all beliefs have walked the ancient Camino trails for adventure, retreat and spiritual growth. The Camino de Santiago trail across Spain began 812 AD and is walked by hundreds of thousands of people each year. It's an amazing experience.
I'm offering:
- Answers to 5 questions from you.
- My list of 10 uncommon tips, from what I learned along the way.
- A list of links to website resources.
- A link to my packing list. When you do this walk, the weight of your pack is most important. My list includes:
-- What I had in my pack along the way (packed in advance and bought there).
-- What I never used & got rid of.
-- What I realized I could buy or get for free along the way, that I didn't need to pack or have a lot of.
-- Links to some of the items I packed.
-- "Ultralight" backpacking approaches
Training & Qualifications
In 2015 I walked the Camino De Santiago trail across Spain, from France to Finisterre (on the coast) over 6 weeks, via the main route known as "The French Way (Camino Francés)". I continued south into Portugal by train visiting Porto, Lisbon, Sintra, Cabo da Roca, and then flew to the Azores.
