I am an advocate for the trees and a resource based economy, a builder of regenerative systems and provider of food for my community :) I work each day to be sure that I maintain a very small carbon footprint. I bike and ride the bus everywhere I go. My purchasing decisions are based on how the items I buy impact the Earth and tend to lean towards buying things that come in glass or some other sort of reusable container. My dollars go to locally owned businesses before spending with large chains.
My biggest current interest is monetary reform and the idea of a resource based economy. I've been studying the history of money in order to understand it's true nature which has been mystified throughout history in order to allow a small group of people to maintain an economic stranglehold on the rest of the world. We have the power to define what money is and how it is used. It is up to us to responsibly spend our earnings. The fact is, that in today's world we control the corporations and the government not by voting to elect certain leaders but through our spending habits. Each dollar we spend is a vote towards encouraging certain products or certain policies to be put into place.
Ok, now to talk about what I do throughout the day/week :) At least two days per week is spent on caring for trees in my community and this is how I pay my bills and for my lifestyle. The rest of the week you can find me gardening, hanging out at the local farmers markets (provide FB live show every Saturday), hiking, camping, chilling with friends, at a drum circle, cooking, eating and exploring my local community around Phoenix, AZ. My happiest times are spent assisting local business owners in getting their name and message out to the community and fostering the relationships between residents in my surrounding areas and conscious businesses that serve them :)
