Carob or locust bean has been used as a major food source since ancient times due to its incredible density of major nutrients and antioxidants. The minerals, vitamins, polyphenols, polysaccharides, proteins and fibers make it one of the most wholesome foods that one can have as a part of their diet.
Best that the pods are crushed, seeds removed and ground into powder using high speed blender. Pods stay fresh for months but are only good for a couple of weeks once processed. The oils go rancid and the nutritional value is lost. That is why it is best to buy pods and process yourself.
Our carob pods have been sustainably harvested by hand in Scottsdale, Arizona on a property that does not use pesticides or herbicide in their landscape.
