A poem for a word
15
You'll give me a word. I'll write a short poem inspired by and using that word.
If you have any topics you prefer I avoid, please let me know, even if the topics seem unlikely to come up. I tend to make odd connections, so what seems unlikely to you and what is unlikely for me may not be the same. I am, however, happy to accommodate.
A recent example of a poem I wrote for a prompt can be found here:

The prompt was a first memory of a body of water.
Training & Qualifications
I've been writing poetry since high school and performed at open mic nights. My audiences have said that my poetry is powerful when I performed, and I have gotten similar comments on the poetry I publish on my blog.
I am a published author, with creative work (prose) in The Spoon Knife Anthology.
Availability & Preferences
I usually check messages in the morning and evening. I have time to write in the mornings and on weekends.
