Paleo Pantry Makeover
I will investigate your fridge and your pantry, dissect your eating habits, and offer concrete plans on how you can be happier, healthier, all while spending less time cooking. Did you know canola oil is bad for you but lard is good? How about that brown rice is actually worse for your health than white rice? Olive Oil is great on a dressing, but toxic if you cook with it at high heat. Spices are basically useless after they are a year old. Facts like this are things we aren't taught in school and have to learn the hard way. I've done all the hard work learning these things so I can help my family eat healthier and avoid chronic disease.
Training & Qualifications
I am passionately interested in cooking, sustainable food, and functional medicine. Much of current dominant thinking about diet and medicine is making us sicker. I believe in looking more deeply at hunter/gatherer and paleolithic era diets to better understand the keys to optimum human health.
Availability & Preferences
I can do about two of these per month. Nights and weekends are best.
