My husband is also an artist, working in leather, beads and other materials, and he is an electrician by trade. We are RV full timers, but pretty stable in where we set up camp right now. I began apprenticing in metal work at 14 years old, and have worked with metal ever since. 14 years working with the man who taught me the free form work (which is my favorite)...and then 8 years doing wax working, casting, fabricating, models, molds, polishing, lapidary etc...primarily in gold 14k, 18k Along with retail selling, managing, merchandising...we made some of the coolest shops where you walk into the theme. Cave walls with lighting just so, as a place to sell crystals, geodes and beautiful rock specimens...Art galleries, to street vending. Craft fairs, and jewelry shows. I began beading, leather working and Wampum Carving when I was small, and still love them too. When I have the time, I like to bead very much. I have gone into other forms of metalwork also, with stained glass, boat building (though I prefer wooden boats) and even plumbing. But I always seem to come back to jewelry.show more
