I am a mom of four boys. I am a lover of books, fresh raspberries, and looking at the stars. I am creative, compassionate, and grammatically correct. ISFJ (Meyers-Briggs). Hufflepuff. LDS.
I have a degree in English from Brigham Young University but have been a stay at home mom for the past 18 years. When I am not busy cooking, chauffeuring, and making sure my boys have clean clothes to wear, I enjoy making beautiful, delicious, and useful things (and sometimes blogging about them).
I live in Central New York (state) but consider myself a Southern girl at heart. Anyone who loves pickled okra would have to be, right? Other things that make me happy are blue skies, kind people, plants (I'm trying to learn to not kill them all), British television programs, crossword puzzles, being barefoot, listening to podcasts, good food, and most of all my family. Some things I don't love are waiting at red lights, mosquitoes, lumpy mattresses, hangnails, and lima beans.
I'm a kind person. I'm trying to become kinder. I'm looking for a way to make a difference in the world. I appreciate culture, music, art, and dance. I believe that the world is a beautiful place. I also believe that sometimes it can be a difficult place, but the two don't have to be mutually exclusive.
I have been told that I have a good eye for design. People are always asking me to help them decorate their houses (which incidentally I would love to do. Hit me up!)
I also make delicious pies.
Let's be friends.
