Swimming pools often cost far more than they should. This is primarily due to the local pool store basically selling you far more than you need.
Do they tell you that beyond the basics every swimming pool is different? And it has little to do with you being in it.
Finish is VERY important.
A diamond brite or concrete finish pool will tend to stay the most balanced, but at a cost to your finish.
A vinal lined pool gives nothing to the water, but over time improper chemistry will severely damage it.
An above ground pool is in may ways like a vinyl lined, but there a few more factores to consider.
I ran a 2000 account commercial/residential pool and spa service/repair in SW Florida, ranging from Ft. Meyers to Marco Island (past Naples).
I'm offering basic advice and what should come first, and hopefully can help you make it through with a lot lower costs.
