60 minute jazz piano lesson

60

60 per hour - - Posted May 27, 2017

In a one hour lesson in my studio in Bellevue, I can help you with your choice of learning how jazz works (theory), how to read jazz charts, how to get started (resources like the right books and gizmos), and connect with the right people. Or we can learn how to play a tune, reharmonize it, improvise it, and even play on the "outside".

Training & Qualifications

I am an amateur jazz piano player who loves to organize jazz in the Seattle area. I started Seattle Area Jazz Musicians, have played regularly with my trio in public, and have played at Tula's jazz club downtown.

Availability & Preferences

I am retired from my day job, so am usually available weekdays.

Trading Preference: I’m flexible, just hit me up!

About Steve Jones

Steve Jones is a jazz musician located in Seattle, in the Pacific Northwest area of the United States. His lifetime love of jazz has always been a passion, although from 1981-2011 it took a second pos...ition to his first career as a professional technologist. After selling his software company to public company Phoenix Technologies and serving as their CTO until Phoenix could be acquired by another firm, Steve retired from his first career to immerse himself in music again. Steve now plays jazz piano professionally in the Seattle area in a number of groups, and also works to build the jazz community in the greater Seattle area with his program, Seattle Area Jazz Musicians.show more
