Steve Jones is a jazz musician located in Seattle, in the Pacific Northwest area of the United States. His lifetime love of jazz has always been a passion, although from 1981-2011 it took a second position to his first career as a professional technologist. After selling his software company to public company Phoenix Technologies and serving as their CTO until Phoenix could be acquired by another firm, Steve retired from his first career to immerse himself in music again.

Steve now plays jazz piano professionally in the Seattle area in a number of groups, and also works to build the jazz community in the greater Seattle area with his program, Seattle Area Jazz Musicians.
