About Stacey Sorgen
I am a health and wellness professional living in Seattle. I received a B.A. in English from the University of California, Riverside and served as Academic Coordinator of Omega Zeta Chi Service So...rority, as an ALLIES volunteer- speaking at local high schools, a UCR Resident Advisor and Editor of Opinions for the Highlander Student Newspaper. After college, I went on to work in healthcare and maintain certification as a phlebotomist, professional rescuer, CPR, AED, and first aid. I earned certification in End of Life Education while employed with the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance and attended numerous workshops, conferences, and meetings with physicians to discuss patient needs, quality of life, and care. As a Team Coordinator at the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, I worked to integrate all facets of the patient care delivery system, to facilitate chemotherapy, raditiation, transfusion, phsycial therapy, and surgical appointments from within a team of physicians. Deciding that rather than only working in treatment, I wanted to have a more active role in rehabilitation, wellness, and prevention was a driving force in a career change. As a result, I sought training in STOTT Pilates and also earned certification with the American College of Sports Medicine as a Certified Personal Trainer with a goal of bringing holistic movement and exercise to all clients and patients. I am also a certified yoga teacher RYT200, certified by Yoga Alliance. As a graduate of the Institute for Integrative Nutrition Health Coaching Program, I am a Certified Health Coach and received training in more than one hundred dietary theories and studied a variety of practical lifestyle coaching methods. Drawing on this knowledge, I will help you create a completely personalized “roadmap to health” that suits your unique body, lifestyle, preferences, and goals.
