About Rubin Chen

I am a public relations student in my first year master's program at the New York University. I love what I am learning so far, and can't wait to apply them to real-world situations. Before coming to ...NYC, I was studying communications in University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. The experience and interactions I had there with friends and community really made me who I am today. After school, I like to cook, work out and make videos. I am from China, so cooking Chinese comfort food is really one of my favorite things to do, and it is also one of the reasons why I work out. I am never a big runner, but I recently picked up high intensity interval training (HIIT), and signed myself up to a kickboxing class. As I moved to a metropolis, my urge for filming only rose since then. I think in the digital era, video becomes the strongest and most effective way to tell stories. And I want to produce compelling content to give back to the wonderful world. I am also trying to pick up French and floral arrangement. I took one class of each in college, and I just fell in love with them. After all, there are never too many skills a person may carry. I am currently looking for an internship in PR/media. I am thrilled to meet more professionals in those fields, and share their stories and experience with me. show more
