Learn to spin yarn!

I can teach you how to spin your own yarn from wool and other fibers on a drop spindle or on a spinning wheel (if you opt for the wheel, it needs to be in person, but drop spindle can be easily taught over a video call!).
I can teach the basics, as well as some more advanced techniques:
-Drafting (woolen & worsted)
-Basics of fiber preparation
-Z and S twist
-Spinning fine vs spinning thick
-Plying techniques (basic, chain, Andean, cabling, and variations of each)
-How to make certain kinds of art yarn (boucle, coccoon, and variations on each)
If you want to learn about wheel spinning, I can also teach you:
-Basic wheel maintenance
-Wheel anatomy and what purpose each part serves
-Adjusting and fine-tuning Scotch tension

Training & Qualifications
I've been spinning my own yarn since I was 14 and I've spun for a number of different projects, including lace shawls, socks, an art yarn scarf, and some bulky scarves. I've taken classes from a few internationally renowned spinners and I would love to share that knowledge with you.
