About Rebecca V Goldstein
I’m a director, assistant director, and former 3rd grade arm-wrestling champion. At Vassar College, I completed an independent Animation major, combining courses in film, art, and computer science, a...nd helping design and implement the school’s first dedicated animation class. As part of my studies, I interned at Pixar Animation Studios, where I worked on costuming for Ratatouille. If you thought the restaurant critic’s shoulder pads were a bit too pointy – or not quite pointy enough – I’m probably to blame.
After graduation, I worked freelance in New York City, directing a variety of projects including 17 instructional videos for Howcast Inc. I also spent time building props (Gemini Studios), puppets (Supermarche), costumes (NY Dance Academy), furniture (Aardvark Interiors), edible sculptures (Howcast), paper jewelry (Linda & Harriett), bloody special effects (Troma), nipple hats (Awesome & Modest), and virtually anything else that could be categorized as “making stuff”.
Most recently, I graduated from the USC School of Cinematic Arts with an MFA in filmmaking. Since then, I’ve been working freelance as a director and assistant director for film, television, web series, commercials, and music videos. I’m always looking for exciting new projects (especially feature films!), so please don’t hesitate to contact me.show more Open to other proposals
