Unlike the way we normally think of a horoscope, astrology encompasses much more to include all the planets and their relationship to each other, not just the sun. It is through studying the planets, the signs of the planets, and the relationship to other planets that we can grasp a larger idea of someone’s astrology.

As with mythology and psychology, astrology operates in the land of archetypes (or a collective pattern or symbol) and the unconscious. The planetary symbols and meanings relate to universal symbols that can be found everywhere. The moon in astrology represents our internal, emotional selves, our mother, and the things that are unconscious in us. It’s a part of us only the people closest ever see or experience. Each planet and asteroid has its own meaning and deeper context from our psyches, that has exists for as long as time.
