I have spent the last 10 years living abroad, mainly in Africa and the Middle East. For most of this period I have worked in emergency contexts (including DRC, Central Africa, Syria and Iraq) with NGOs and the United Nations. Throughout this time I have documented my experiences by painting, mainly portraits of the people I meet whose stories touch or inspire me.
I am in the process of transitioning my career from the humanitarian sector to mission-driven, for-profit sector: i.e. using business to solve local and global problems. I hope that my art will play a role in this.
