Advice on launching a startup

25

25 per unit - Virtual OK - Posted Nov 21, 2016

Two years ago, I launched a startup called Fussy. Today, we're now better known as CRÈME, an on-demand beauty service that matches hair and makeup professionals with clients seeking their services at home, a hotel, the office...wherever. I've learned a great deal about the do's and don'ts of launching a startup, particularly a marketplace startup. I can answer questions about determining whether to move forward with your idea, the first tasks to tackle, how to build and test out a minimum viable product (MVP) for little to no money, how to create a stunning visual deck, how to grow a community around your startup before launching, how to brainstorm an effective go-to-market plan and much more.

About Patrice Peck

As a media professional, Patrice has dedicated herself to sharing multifaceted stories of women across the globe at places like BET, EBONY.com, The Huffington Post, NBC and CNN. Throughout her career,... she noticed that no matter the cultural or geographical context, beauty always emerged as a universal language. And, if beauty is a language, then consider Patrice fluent #newhairstyledifferentday. As a frequent salon-goer, she has always loved getting her hair done and bonding with different hairstylists. Yet, as her media career began to take off in New York City, she found it more difficult to schedule her usual salon visits. Aiming to create an alternative option for herself and other professional women on-the-go, Patrice merged her love for beauty, her M.A. in Digital Media and her web development talents and co-founded CRÉME. show more
