The Mud Fun Musical Mudstomp is a festive community event for all ages that ties into an earthen construction project. Earthen mud mixtures are churned and mixed with bare feet to the sounds of live music ensembles in front of audiences and food is served as part of the ceremony. The musical mudstomp allows us to experience strength in numbers and experience what teamwork can achieve. Its a really special feeling to be part of and our spirits crave to enjoy more such experiences. The mud mixtures mixed at a musical mudstomp are used for building with. Earthen masonry is a superior building material and method that produces a strong wall with superior indoor air quality and a cozy feeling that has to be experienced. Earthen masonry is part of everyone's heritage and is being forgotten and replaced. The musical mudstomp makes these heritage methods more widely available. I have been doing this with captive school audiences and would like to extend it out into the greater community. How do we get 100 people to show up and make a nice big batch of bricks in a festive way that can be used to build a beautiful strong wall? This is what I call creating a festive building culture. I advocate for this culture to start with building small structures to begin with. A cubby house can be modified into something that is liveable for the right person. A measurement I have created to form the basis of this festive earthen building culture is "daensity" which is like density but with a silent "a". Daensity is love per square meters of construction. The events pack every inch of mud with lots of love and joy and all that ends up in the wall.
