I am the Founder and Executive Director of Chilis on Wheels, which provides vegan food to people in need of a warm meal. We have free stores where we provide personal care necessities that are cruelty-free at no cost. We also have a Vegan Education Program where we educate the public on veganism, and a Youth Engagement Program where we encourage youth to participate in their communities. I also lead talks on veganism and hunger, food justice, low income vegan living, and community building.
I am organizing TheVTeamTour, a project of van living, highlighting homelessness, building chapters of Chilis on Wheels, fostering community around free vegan food, and inspiring folks to live more connected committed lives.
I organized a monthly Vegan Latinos of NYC Meetup.
By profession I am a freelance translator and writer, and unschooling mother to my vegan son, Ollie.
I have a blog: www.granolatron.com where I write about parenting, food, and activism.
