I am a talented and experienced teacher with 15 years of teaching experience in public, international settings and private settings. I've started a successful nature school for preschool and elementary age and can answer questions about how to start up a school and share documents that I've already created. Our school is bilingual and outdoor 100% of the time. I'm the director and have experience with age groups from 2-10. I'm biracial, married to a Guatemalan and our family has lived in Guatemala for 6 months out of the year. I bring a unique multicultural experience to my teaching and parenting. This includes a high value of diversity, tolerance and justice.
I'm available to give advice on behavioral concerns and questions as well as academic support. I can help you create fun ways for you to teach a child a certain skill. I love to think outside of the box to create an approach and strategy that would best suit the the child you are working with. I'm great at helping with natural consequences for unwanted behaviors and can help problem solve and help mend difficult relationships.
Training & Qualifications
A certified elementary teacher. I have my national boards certificate in Literacy. I own and direct a nature school with two programs. Both I have started from the ground up. I have 15 years of teaching experience in the classroom and forest. I'm the administrator for both schools and have experience having employees.
Availability & Preferences
I'm usually free after 7 pm on the week days. But can be available through email during the day.
