About Megan Cyr

My desire to empower the disadvantaged and vulnerable populations is what fuels my passion for social work. Through my experience as group facilitator and programmer I have exercised my ability to c...ommunicate clearly and effectively through both English and French. By empathizing, being culturally sensitive and knowledgeable I am able to quickly establish a rapport with many diverse populations. As coordinator I've exercised and refined my skills/abilities in leadership, organization and teamwork thus allowing me to best serve my clients through effective coordination. I am also aware of the unique struggles faced by those with multiple barriers particularly those living in violence, with disabilities, and mental health and/or addiction concerns). Although I am deeply concerned for others' feelings my self care regime stops me from becoming too emotional or over-involved with my clients which allows me to maintain balance.
