I am the director and cofounder of The Holistic Underground, a bay area non-profit that integrates... the arts, social justice and holistic healing to create an integrative model for community development . Through the organization, I run various events throughout the bay area (more than 8 a month!) including open mics in San Francisco and Oakland, Holistic Healing Gatherings, Professional Development Services, Jam Sessions and Sketch nights and Workshops exploring Identity, Power and Privilege. I am definitely someone who believes in taking action to create the world I wish to see, and also believe that much of the time, a more holistic, ecosystemic (vs. mechanic/ reductive) view offers us the option to use creativity, empathy, communication and love as sources of energy vs. anger and violence...
