I am the director and cofounder of The Holistic Underground, a bay area non-profit that integrates the arts, social justice and holistic healing to create an integrative model for community development .
Through the organization, I run various events throughout the bay area (more than 8 a month!) including open mics in San Francisco and Oakland, Holistic Healing Gatherings, Professional Development Services, Jam Sessions and Sketch nights and Workshops exploring Identity, Power and Privilege.

I am definitely someone who believes in taking action to create the world I wish to see, and also believe that much of the time, a more holistic, ecosystemic (vs. mechanic/ reductive) view offers us the option to use creativity, empathy, communication and love as sources of energy vs. anger and violence...

But, the son of immigrants from Sudan, and living in many different nations, I also understand that sometimes, its not so simple... There is a Yin and Yang to everything I believe...
