1-Hour Beginner Knitting Lesson

I will help you learn to knit, from one of a few basic knitting patterns. We can make a slouchy hat, a basic scarf, or mittens!
First, we will set you up with an account on Ravelry, a knitting website that has thousands of patterns available for free, and then we will find a pattern that suits your desires! We will make sure the pattern works for the type of yarn and needles you have, and then we'll learn how to cast on, knit and/or purl, and any other skills required to complete your project. After we get you through your project, we will work together to make sure you know how to cast off, weave in your ends and we will finish by blocking the project!
Notes: The one hour doesn't have to be all at once since you might not have your yarn and needles at first, and we will make sure I don't leave you confused or alone with your new project!
Training & Qualifications
I have been knitting for 8 years and have taught others to knit in the past. I've also knitted a wide variety of clothing items, deciphered many obscure patterns, and worked with a wide variety of yarn types!
Availability & Preferences
I'm free most evenings and weekends, but I'm self-employed so I'm flexible!
