Sharpen pocket knives, fixed blades, kitchen knives, pretty much any knife blade you need sharpened, to a shaving edge (just don't cut yourself once I'm done, haha!).
Carried at least one knife since I was 12 or so, learned to sharpen on a stone and have successfully sharpened a knife on a stone from the creek many times.
