Pickling & Sauerkraut Making Lesson

I will teach you how to pickle your own veggies through refrigeration, canning, and lactofermentation. I can also tack on a sauerkraut lesson if that's of interest to you, too! I'd estimate the lesson to last between 30-45 minutes. I love sharing this homesteading skill as a form of food preservation and connecting with a long-standing food tradition of our ancestors. If you're able to bring jars and veggies you want to pickle, I can provide the rest of the necessary ingredients/tools.
Training & Qualifications
I am a food/farm educator. I work on a 2-acre urban farm and teach both children and adults about these food preservation techniques as a way to reconnect our society to the earth.
Availability & Preferences
The weekends (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) are best for me (and usually other folks!)
