Live Well Tasmania have two Community Seed Banks established at the following locations:
RESEED Centre - 30 King Edward St, Penguin and
Live Well Tasmania - 28 Saunders St, Wynyard.
Seed Banks enable community members to take seed for free with an intention to return seed after harvest to share again with the community. We invite donations of seed at any time to the Seed Libraries locations above.
This project contributes toward community sufficiency , food security and food sovereignty for our region while at the same time retaining seeds and heritage varieties acclimatised to our region and growing conditions.
Seed saving is a revolutionary act. The day you plant the seed is not the day you eat the fruit. Be patient and stay the course
