Budgeting for Extended Backpacking

1

1 per package - - Posted Sep 21, 2016

Have you heard that you need at least $50/day to backpack Europe? I'll explain to you why that number is grossly inflated and help you to learn how to save up enough money to travel for several months without being a trust fund kid.

I'm offering this service for free (well, I tried to but it doesn't allow it, so 1 simbi) because I think that everyone should be able to go on a long journey, especially in a foreign land where they can learn about the interconnectedness of the world.

Training & Qualifications

I saved $20k in 10 months working a $13/hour job. I cut all the fat from my life and traveled Europe for 10 months, not even spending half of my money on the trip.

Availability & Preferences

We can message back and forth any time. Or, if you'd rather Skype, I'm available all day Sunday and Monday, evenings on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

Trading Preference: I’m flexible, just hit me up!

About Laura Shiley

I have three major passions in life--helping, exploring, and brewing. Last year, I saved up enough money to quit my beloved job as a caregiver for people with developmental disabilities and I hit the ...road for 10 months. During that time, I hitchhiked and Couchsurfed around Europe, learning how to live happily with only what I could carry and how to ask for help. In my free time, I love to make beer, hike, find live music, attempt to make music on my ukulele/cello, help people in any way that they need, learn languages (I'm currently working on Danish), and explore new places. show more
