What I will do:
- Read over your manuscript at least twice and check spelling, grammar, and continuity
- If desired, offer positive-language feedback on the plot, theme, character development, and all dialogue/exposition in general
- I do not believe in being hurtful when giving constructive criticism, and aim to be professional while suggesting what to do rather than what not to do
- Whatever corrections or suggestions I give are yours to do with what you will. Should you be publishing this work, all I ask in return is that my name is credited
I will accept pithy short stories, outrageously over-the-top novels, fan fiction and original works alike, and do my best to serve you! Depending on the size of the manuscript, I can get it back in a day or a month. I tend to work an hour a day on projects.
Going rate is roughly ten simbibucks per chapter/5000 words, but I am very flexible and easy going.
Training & Qualifications
I have worked as a copy editor in the past with an online publisher, as well as acted as a beta reader for friends and strangers alike for over ten years. I happen to write too, and consider myself quite the accomplished scribe, if Jane Austen were to say so (though if she saw how many "myselfs" I had in that original sentence, she'd be turning in her grave fast enough to power a small village in Northern England).
Availability & Preferences
I work Monday to Friday during the day, so I will likely be plugging away in the evenings and on the weekends.
