Painting as Meditation
This session is held at the Shamanic Arts Center in Hotchkiss, Colorado. No painting or art experience necessary - materials are provided. Each painting created in this process is the product of many different artists/meditators. Each completed painting will be auctioned off by reverse auction as a fundraiser to support the Traveling Shamans. The glazing technique using acrylic paints creates a beautiful and colorful multi-dimensional painting. You will be given a choice of working on one of the paintings currently in process. Unless you are near by, you'll need lodging to take advantage of this class, I recommend renting from listings in both Airbnb and on Hip Camp. The North Fork Creative Triangle is a perfect place to vacation with its numerous organic farms, wineries, artists and shamans -- there's always plenty to do.
