From basic fundamentals to advanced techniques I guide my students through every aspect of musicianship to create a solid set of skills that each student can then apply in their own unique voice on the instrument. My teaching style emphasizes improvisation, ear training and theory as well as playing technique and reading. I specialize in jazz, and modal music from the Middle East, and I am well versed in various popular styles and western classical music.
Training & Qualifications
I have been playing and teaching trumpet for over a decade, as a child I began studying piano at age 8 and picked up a few more instruments as time went on. I studied jazz trumpet at the University of North Texas, and continue my study of jazz and microtonal modal music to this day. I am a lifelong student of music and I hope to inspire others to take a similar path.
