From basic fundamentals to advanced techniques I guide my students through every aspect of musicianship to create a solid set of skills that each student can then apply in their own unique voice on the instrument. My teaching style emphasizes improvisation, ear training and theory as well as playing technique and reading. I specialize in Afro-Caribbean drumming styles on a variety of drums, as well as Middle Eastern frame drum and darbukeh drumming. I also teach basic drum kit and and can help students apply techniques and ideas from any of my areas of expertise on any drum.
