I will receive a set of "stems" from you, which I'll mix into a finished song! In essence, a "stem" is a music file that contains only one instrument or singer's voice. Then I take all those different pieces and put the puzzle together, so that you have a music file that contains the finished song!

For those of you who care to know the science, this is a full service mixing process. Everything from digital gain structure to EQ, compression to buss effects is included. When you get the track back... it should be ready to sell. If you'd like it to be part of an album, I still highly recommend having it mastered either by me or someone else. The mastering process will take a clump of songs (usually somewhere between 8 and 12) and use some fancy music science tools to make them sound like one coherent project. It ensures that your project reflects a consistent sound all the way across. However your songs will still need to be mixed prior to that process!

You can expect an approximate average of 2 hours spent to mixdown a single song. I will do my best to respond quickly and in a timely fashion. If there is a release deadline, please inform me when we're discussing the service so I can be sure to honor it. I prefer to do my work on Fridays and Saturdays but if there's an emergency let me know and I'll see what I can do!
