PC Tutoring and Repair

I can help fix a variety of PC problems, especially caused by Windows updates, bloat installed by manufacturers, "fixes" by some of the 1-800 computer repair places, and hardware and software selection and installation. I can even remotely monitor your system and help you at the first sign of trouble or confusion.
I also offer tutoring classes for PC use, basics of the most popular software programs, how to use some of the more powerful aspects of Windows. I am also studying up quickly on Android and Windows Phone, and can help you with repair, installation, and tutoring on those as well. I am unfortunately untrained on iOS or OS/X, however.
Training & Qualifications
I have spent 20 of the 27 years of my life using Windows from 3.1 to Windows 10, and Microsoft Office from 98 to 2016. I have no formal training, but decades in the trenches have taught me behaviors of those products that some degree-holding administrators don't know. I have also been building PCs from scratch for friends and family for years.
I also have 3 years experience in customer service, and several months of cold-calling, so there's little I haven't heard, and nothing I judge anyone for. I am patient and careful in my tutoring, never leaving my clients with more questions than they came in with.
Availability & Preferences
Weekends and weeknights, the usual free time, works best, though at the moment I'm unemployed, so technically any time will work. If you are in the Portland Metro Area, I can drive out to your location; if you are beyond that, I have software that will allow me to help you with software issues remotely, provided your computer is not bad enough off that it can run.
