Ask a trans/gender queer person!
35
I am a trans* person (which means that I identify with a gender other than the one I was assigned at birth). I am also non-binary (which means that the gender I identify with is not confined to two strict genders of man/woman). The term that makes most sense to me is genderqueer, which I understand to be an experience of transgressing gender norms, engaging in gender expressions across gender lines, etc. my preferred pronouns are They/Them.
Wanna talk about any of that? Want help processing your experience of gender with a nonjudgmental person who has given this a lot of thought? Interested in gender and religion/spirituality (I'm also a Christian pastor)? Hit me up.
It's PERFECTLY OKAY if you don't know the lingo yet or the terms I used above are new to you. We are all learners, and I'm glad to be part of your learning/exploration.
