Pottery Teacher Apprentiship
I will show you all the ins and outs of being a contracted pottery teacher. Most schools dont offer art but there is a way to teach after school partnering with PTO's There are quite a few hoops to jump through but I've been jumping for about 5 years now and I can confidently start a program at just about any school that wants a program. It is a job that is in demand, part time. I get about $20/hr before taxes, Including admin (processing registration, creating rosters, emailing parents ect) and post class work. I will show you how to fire a kiln and set up your lessons. In return I ask that you help me out with 2 sessions of classes. I will also meet with you at my home studio to show post production (glazing finishing and firing) work. In the end you would have to work out a deal to fire in my kiln, or purchase your own, or find a school that has one that you can use (I can also help get you placed in a school if you would like. I can name at least 2 that would like a program that does not have one, that have kilns to utilize.
Must be able to pass a background check! No exceptions! 16+
