Free Interactive Front-end Website!
1
In exchange mostly for experience and a short, written testimonial for my resume, I will convert your content into a functional front-end website with three files:
An HTML file (content and structure layer),
a CSS file (visual style layer),
and JavaScript file(s) (functionality/behavior layer).
I can also make a few logos for you to choose from, or convert your existing logo into a scalable PNG vector image with a transparent background for use on the site and your future use in other documents.
For what types of sites is my skill set a good fit?
-Restaurants looking to display regular menu items or catering/social event services, an “about” page, contact/reservation information, and location/address info
-Small businesses seeking to expand their client-base with an online presence
-Linking to social media or other online presences, such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Tumblr, Yelp, Soundcloud, YouTube, or blogs
-Portfolio or personal webpages with galleries, slideshows, “about me” pages, contact pages, etc.
-Galleries/slideshows of previous projects, events, or products
Where does my skill set fall short?
-Backend functionality: creating user profiles/accounts; saving user data, such as email addresses for newsletter/marketing subscriptions; online purchasing; validating user inputs; or any other use of a database
-Your blog or site requiring regular content updates (i.e., pricing, product availability, daily specials, or the like) may be better suited for content management systems (CMSs) like WordPress in which you can update your site accordingly
What Comes With a Website From Me?
Branding! Your logo, the fonts and images, and the wording you use on your website come together in your customer’s mind as a first and lasting impression of your business. I am happy to work with you to include whatever stylistic elements your business already implements in your website. Or conversely, if you don’t have any of this formulated yet, we can work together to compile a list of all styles and your logo, so that you may remain consistent stylistically on any document, email, business card, invoice—what have you—to maintain your brand.
How It Works:
I’m adaptable! I can work on your website completely remotely, or we can meet in person or on a video-chat platform to discuss details. Text, images, or whatever content you wish to include is best sent to me by email, so that I can copy and paste it into the HTML. You can send me pictures or drawings of the layout you’re looking for, or I can make suggestions via non-interactive screenshots of wireframes and mockups, or even other existing websites. Once the final design is in place, I will send you a non-interactive screenshot of the final product and its subpages in the browser. At that point, you can write me a testimonial, and then I will send all of your files!
You will then be responsible for finding the best hosting for your needs, and you are welcome to come to back to me for any functionality or content updates.
I am new to the development world (I've been coding for about seven months, now), and so my ideal client is one that is
-flexible with deadlines (I am not getting paid in real US dollars--or Simbi currency for that matter--and rely on another job to get by),
-accommodating when further research is needed to complete a certain functionality, and
-willing to let me feature the final product on my portfolio page.
About Me:
My name is Jeff Reynolds, a fledgling front-end web-developer seeking testimonials and experience. I have been coding and designing in Denver, CO for seven months. I am seeking to expand my knowledge in tech by working on free client projects. As such, my productivity quota is very low, and I am only accepting one project a month. Thank you for investing in me, and I can’t wait to make a beautiful website for you!
