Gentle Yoga in La Honda

Gentle Yoga builds strength and flexibility through the practice of basic poses (asana) that are focused on proper alignment and coordinated with the breath. Poses are approached gradually and sequences are repeated to allow participants time to explore changes in the body with each repetition and find ease in the pose (sthira sukham asanam). Time is allowed at the end of each class for mindful meditation to balance the body, mind and spirit.
Training & Qualifications
Jamie Walton is a local La Honda resident and passionate yogini. She has studied anatomy, exercise physiology and kinesiology, and has been certified by ACE (The American Council on Exercise) and AFAA (The Athletic and Fitness Association of America) to teach group exercise classes and to provide personal training. She has experience teaching a variety of group fitness classes, including yoga, and has been a personal trainer. She is currently pursuing her Yoga Alliance 200-Hour YTT (Yoga Teacher Training) certification.
Availability & Preferences
This class takes place every Saturday morning from 9-10:30 AM in the La Honda, CA clubhouse at 120 Scenic Drive.
