I am a current PhD student at Univ. of Illinois Chicago's Sociology department. I study international migration and the political impacts it has on women. I have also been teaching Sociology for 4 years and currently teach at Parkland College and Heartland Community College.
I am also a holistic mind-body-spirit coach who focuses on childhood abuse and trauma in relation to health and weight. I am very knowledgable about health in general, but tend to work with those whose weight is more tied to past emotional situations that need to be resolved in conjunction with healthy diet and exercise.
I grew up with seven siblings that I cared for often and have a magnetic personality that draws children to me. I was called Mary Poppins by the kids are used to nanny for and by my friends who saw my big Mary Poppins bag full of children's activities.
I have a diverse knowledge set and can provide guidance or advice in a lot of areas, even if you just need someone to fill you encouragement and empowerment to meet your goals and be an amazing person. I am a very spiritual person and focus on my own learning and spiritual growth. This is probably the most important journey any of us will take in our lives and I love to help people on their journey. I have healed a lot of pain and brokenness in my own life and have many resources that I love to pass onto others in the hope that it will help them as much as it has helped me.
