Welcome to Beacon Presents.
Follow the link below to hear some great new music designed to speak directly from my chakras to yours. Listening is free for you. Share away, but cite me where possible, please.

I am a (mostly) self-taught musician and composer and producer. I grew up in Marin County surrounded by many great celebrities, so I never conceived of following the path of musician for the first three decades of my life. Then, I touched OM, the Ugditha, and couldn't turn back! I believe in the healing power of music so much that I began learning the tools to create tunes and get them out there initially for my own benefit. The results have been beyond my best hope! Now it is time to get my growing body of compositions out to you in hopes to help you heal, grow, or just simply enjoy.

You will find my style to be a juxtaposition of genres. I focus more on the effects of the notes themselves than trying to fit into any box. I am a cymatic monk studying the effects of sound on matter, and many of these instrumentals I have created were dialed in using cymatic water monitors to control overtones. The interactions of waveforms never cease to amaze me.
So, head over to my soundcloud account and find something that moves you from the wide variety of instrumentation that I work with...

Training & Qualifications

As a former band musician and stage manager, I moved into sound production while attending Dominican University of California. I was invited to become part of Penguin Radio ( http://radio.dominican.edu ) where I created, programmed and ran my own show complete with regular guests to host. My show Thursday Night Mission focused on local events, news, and disseminating wisdom from some of the greatest minds in human history to my audience. It was popular enough to secure me a full two hours of air time after the first radio semesters, and I was allowed to broadcast even over winter breaks or when I was not enrolled im classes. I gained a worldwide audience fairly rapidly, and was tapped by the communications department for three honors.

First was the honor to help broadcast worldwide many premium lecture on sciences and humanities from important global speakers who had been invited as guest lecturers to Dominican U of C. Then came an award for Excellence in Broadcasting created for my benefit by the acting chair of the time, Dr Melba Beals, the renound civil rights leader. The third was the ability to step in as a volunteer substitute to run the radio station on call by the station's creator who still acts as an adjunct professor for the communications department; I was the "go to guy" for students and to keep the station running while I was still attending there. During the broadcast of my five seasons of my show Thursday Night Mission, I also had the additional honor of receiving amd interviewing some magnificent guests from the local community, including musicians, an emcee, a chaplain, a gypsy, and more.

I moved away from the area where DUofC is located but couldn't get enough of sound production, so I started composing by finding and learning new software that allowed my full control over the music in my heart. At this date, I am approaching my professional benchmark of 10,000 hours of sound production, and incresing in skill every month. Sound may not be my whole life, but sound is life! I hope you enjoy!

About Reverend Vaughn

I am a lifelong student of what it means to be human. My studies have taught me a great deal more than most of us know about humanity as it pertains to both individuals and societies. I've an insatiab...le learning habit that has broight me upward of 30 years of higher education in Humanities, the Arts, Spiritual Knowledge and Social Sciences. Although I have done what I need to do to survive in a money driven market, I have always attempted to negotiate life with an altruistic viewpoint, choosing principles before personalities. This makeup of my personal qualities has led me to develop a rare outlook on life and even caused me to awaken into my full human potential as an enlightened being. I have become ordained as an interfaith minister in order to help people in their lives, regardless of faith. I have become an independent social worker in order to help people directly without having my hands tied by the protocols of any one agency or hierarchy. I am keenly interested in our individual and collective spirituality more than any one philosophy or religion, because it is my belief that we are all spiritual beings and require noirishment of our spirit as much as we require food and water and shelter to thrive. Is my believe that many illnesses can be overcome if we learn to balance our wellness by providing for all of our needs together in a holistic approach. One of the reasons I have become a minister is to help fill a needed niche since so many of us specialize in filling services that are material or intellectual in nature. I practice altruism as my foremost world view. In these troubling times, my view can be challenged on a daily basis, which enables me to continue to grow and have hope even in times of hopelessness. I come from a history great personal suffering and from this have always used hard times as an opportunity to better myself and strengthen my skills in helping others. I have learned so much in my life, that I feel a duty to give some of this away to other people who still suffer. Make no mistake about it, suffering is a part of life, and in order to find happiness we must learn some of the skills and viewpoints that allow us to move forward in life to maintain hope and goodwill. Is my belief that hell is to be found on earth in the form of hopelessness and resentment. I aim to give my services here on Simi to help my fellows both attain a brighter world view and grow toward the wonder of enlightenment. In the story Plato's allegory of the cave, I am the man that was cut free and led out into the light. I have been blessed with the ability to discard some of my self-defeating human agreements that most of us struggle through, and I have come back into the cave to do whatever I can to free the rest of us! To this end, I work on a daily basis to attain and uphold the Bodhisattva vow (c.f. Mahayana philosophy) which I have taken as best that I understand such. May all beings find fulfillment and happiness! Much love, Beacon show more
