Computer Science Mentor

25

25 per session - Virtual OK - Posted Jul 31, 2016

Teaching is a true passion for me. As a Computer Science Mentor, I assist others with learning a variety of topics including Programming, Administration, Offensive and Defensive Computer Security, Networking, Computer Maintenance, and even how to better teach others these topics.

Training & Qualifications

I am a senior software engineer who specializes in systems-level programming. In other words, I make software which allows others to do things that matter to them. I spend much of my time creating things like system libraries for use by other developers, server daemons which provide various services over the Internet, services which filter network traffic to safeguard bank accounts from malicious attacks, or communication protocols which talk directly to hardware to monitor the health of patients in real-time. Over the years, I have taught many others these skills as well and have found that I enjoy sharing this knowledge even more than using it.

Availability & Preferences

I'm usually available on weekdays in the early afternoon and on weekends.

Trading Preference: I’m flexible, just hit me up!

Gerald is an awesome guy and easy to work with. Super flexible and easy-going, and you can tell he's just here to teach and learn. He's also quite kno...wledgeable about the subjects he claims to be knowledgeable about, and willing to learn about the subjects he doesn't.show more
