From wikipedia:
"The psychiatric survivors movement (more broadly Peer/Consumer/survivor/ex-patient movement) is a diverse association of individuals who either currently access mental health services (known as consumers or service users), or who are survivors of interventions by psychiatry, or who are ex-patients of mental health services."

I will give you 30 minutes worth of a brief history of the psychiatric survivor/ex-patient movement-I can do it verbally over Skype, or in a Q&A format, or by sending you websites. I can also show you where on the internet to find good resources, people to follow on social media, and support/activism communities to join if you are interested in reading/learning more or connecting with people who have experienced harm or abuse at the hands of the mental health system and chose instead to do natural, community based, or social justice forms of seeking recovery. I can also help you find articles and resources that critique various aspects of the mental health system.
