Undergrad Paper/Project Sources
35
Working on a project or paper for college and not sure where to start your research? I'll talk with you about your topic and find you 4-5 sources for your information needs. This includes where to find the materials and basic bibliographic data (author, title, and year published if applicable).
To help you the best, I'll need an idea of what sorts of sources you need and the level of your coursework. A peek at your syllabus content (pics are fine!) would also help keep my suggestions in line with the tone of your class.
Some caveats: my experience is in the humanities and social sciences. I will do my utmost to find you good sources for STEM areas, but you won't be charged for my services if I can't find you actually helpful sources.
Because it does take time to find decent sources, please allow yourself enough time for me to create your resource list *and* for yourself to complete the project. This is not the deal for rush jobs! (I say this with love in my heart because I, as an undergrad, started working on my honors thesis project a month before I graduated. Learn from my mistakes!)
Training & Qualifications
I have an MLIS (Masters of Library and Information Science) from Rutgers. Not only do I have experience writing several dozen undergrad and graduate papers, I have literally taken (and passed!!!) classes on information seeking and database navigation. I'm also a children's librarian who regularly uses these skills on a daily basis. I consider myself a professional information-finder.
Availability & Preferences
My schedule is up in the air but my phone is on me always. Sundays are generally free though.
