I am a multi-passioned earth-loving permaculture momma. I spend my time building gardens and food forests, raising my son and dreaming of a resilient homestead lifestyle away from the city.
I hail from the westcoast of BC and we take advantage of the beautiful outdoor recreation in the form of camping, cliff-jumping and tree-hugging. It feels like one of the last refuges on earth, with abundant water and wildlife. But it needs protecting! There is an immense amount of work to be done to secure the future abundance of this place. I'm doing my part through my permaculture design business and the non-profit I’m involved with.
In my solo days I travelled far and wide in search of sustainable community food production models. I've interned in off-grid villages in Costa Rica, an ecovillage in Missouri, small towns in New Zealand and a commercial aquaponic farm in Hawaii. Worked alongside world-renowned natural builders and architects, building biologist, permaculture elders, students and villagers. By seeking alternative models of food growing, housing and energy production I stumbled upon a vast network of intentional communities and an undercurrent of resilient and creative people.
My entire life I have searched for community, but never stayed in one spot long enough to become fully integrated. We live in such an interesting time, to have online communities that sometimes feel closer than a physical one!
