Home Improvement/ConstructionAdvice

Home Improvement, repairs, maintenence and renovation can be daunting and expensive if you don'the know what you'really getting into. Too often, I arrive at a home to do an estimate after a home owner has made costly mistakes. I'd like to try and help home owners avoid the common mistakes of taking on a job beyond your reach, planning with the wrong materials or designs, and/or hiring the wrong contractor. Working on your home can be an excellent experience, if approached correctly. Understanding the difference of what you can and should do on your own and what you should hire an experienced professional to do, as well as what scope and costs to expect of a project is invaluable for sound and smooth planning and execution. I can tell you what to expect of your contractors, where to cut corners, if you're on a budget, how to avoid headaches and make your vision into reality.
Training & Qualifications
I have been a Pennsylvania carpentry contractor for the past 6 years, having spent the previous 2 as an apprentice. I've worked with a number of other contractors, having seen and fixed nightmare jobs and building wonderful structures from the ground up. I have lots of experience working with people and their budgets to help them to achieve what they want with their home and steer them in the right direction through experience.
Availability & Preferences
Evenings Eastern Time are usually best, but I do have some flexibility.
