We will evaluate your skills and determine what areas you should and would like to learn. This is customizable from:
teaching simple skills and techniques, to mastering advanced methods
learning to plan meals, to learning to prepare a special dish or meal,
baking delicious cookies to decorating beautiful and complex cakes,
learning some simple recipes for everyday use, learning special recipes, and learning to create and adapt recipes on your own,
learning to use a knife without cutting yourself, to trying to become the fastest blade on the block.
Let me share with you the skills and techniques you need to cook well.
Whether you want to make a meal your spouse will love instead of feeling like you can't make toast without burning it, or you want to be the master of the grill for your next cook out, or you want to impress with the next special or holiday dinner, or you just want to gain confidence or hone your kitchen skills- I will share with you the skills techniques and understanding you need to become "master chef" of your home kitchen.
Values will vary based on your learning level and goals.
I have set the simbi price based on a skill level of novice to intermediate and 30 min to evaluate your goals and skills plus 1-2 hours of learning. I am willing to create customized services for specific needs and goals- please just ask.
Training & Qualifications
I have an AA in Culinary arts and a BPS in Advanced Culinary arts from RMU.
I have completed advanced training in numerous culinary fields.
I have worked as Executive Chef for a private country club and currently have beenworking several years in foodservice management.
I have numerous certifications from NRAEF.
I am a certified instructor and proctor for ServSafe foodhandlers and managers. (A service which I believe would not be something I could offer here, but the knowledge can still be taught.)
Availability & Preferences
I am usually free on weekends, and may have some evenings available through the summer.
