Whether you love it or hate it, there is no argument that it does accomplish a certain professional polish (not too little or too much, just the right amount). Being in the studio on the day of the photo shoot does provide you with a lot of ways to get the lighting just right and the proper head tilt to convey you are a personable individual (genuine smiles help to).
BUT…
For all of those other details that you can’t control: uneven complexion, cowlicks, dull teeth whiteness, etc. Photoshop provides the photographer the chance to revisit each of these details, and more, to help you put your best digital presence forward.
