Open a new perspective and change the way you view the game of chess. While most of my students are competitive players, I pride myself in that I met and shared my knowledge and passion with people coming from all sorts of backgrounds. All my students enjoy the mental arousal and the exclusive competitiveness that comes when you are marching your army against an opponent on the chess board.
A game of strategy, a game of will, and most importantly a battle of ideas between two brilliant minds. Come into my world!
Training & Qualifications
- Youngest Romanian FIDE International Grandmaster (highest rank in chess) obtained just before my 18th birthday.
- World Youth Champion at the U-16 age group & tied for 1st place a year later in the U-18 section
- Recipient of Chess I scholarship at the University of Texas at Dallas (full ride scholarship)
-Back 2 Back US Class Champion in 2013 & 2014
- Bay Area Chess Elite team lead coach & Grandmaster in Residence
Availability & Preferences
My schedule is extremely flexible on a week to week basis. I travel for my competitions and I also adjust to my student's schedule requests when possible. Let's talk and we will surely find common ground.
