Hey guys, I'm Cristian! I am a chess grand master originally from Romania who came to this country to pursue his dreams and passion. I spent my first 4 years in US at the University of Texas at Dallas, pursuing my BA in Political Sciences and competing with the university's chess team all over the nation.

After graduating I decided to completely change my environment and start fresh, and what better place than the west coast?! After moving to my current home in El Cerrito, I immediately fell in love with everything California. I've been here since, and I am not planning on moving anytime soon.
Currently I am the lead coach for the Bay Area Chess Association, teaching private students,and competing at the highest level.
I am wildly into health and fitness, and I am currently pursuing my martial arts journey. Everything that is related to personal development interest me.

I have a lot of extra time on my hands and I am trying to use it to the best of my abilities. Meeting new people, learning new things, and expanding my horizons in different areas is what keeps me motivated.
