Support for Queer/Trans Folks
As a queer woman, I know that navigating this world can often feel isolating and tough. If you need someone to chat with, someone to vent to, or just some support, I am always willing to listen and help out when I can. No judgement here, I'm super supportive of gender and sexuality diverse folks, and am an active member of Guelph's queer comminity. Accountability, intersectionality, and working with an anti-oppression framework are important to me, and I won't tolerate bigotry of any kind.
Opening up to people around you is sometimes hard or down right impossible. In my experience, I've found it easier at times to talk to people I've never actually met in real life, which is why I'm offering this virtually, but I'm always down to meet up and chat if you're local (so long as my social anxiety isn't rearing its ugly head)!
Much love to you all!
Training & Qualifications
I am a queer-identified cis woman, and am not out to my family as they're unsupportive of the LGBTQ+ community (read: homophobic, ugh). I hold a diploma in social service work, and actively participate in the queer community in my town.
